Got Style Blues? We can fix that!
This Chambray Blues Sewing Pattern Fitting Guide is included in each of my sewing patterns, both downloadable PDF and print copies. However, I thought I would save it here as a quick resource for all of the original projects you find here on Chambray Blues.
The patterns I create are pieces that have been basic wardrobe staples for many years. Women of all ages and sizes have worn classic styles like these for generations. They are well-loved for their ease of wear, comfort, and practicality. Simple and elegant handmade clothes will make you feel pretty as well as help you gain confidence. I offer a free fabric resource guide as a free bonus to help you choose the perfect fabric for your project as a thank you gift!
I look forward to making more designs for you in the future!
Sincerely,
Jessica Cramer

Fitting Guide
How to choose the right size pattern:
Take basic body measurements including bust, waist, and hip with tight-fitting clothes on. Many sewists prefer to use the high bust measurement (under your armpits and above your breasts) as well as the bust measurement over the fullest part of your bust. Measure the smallest part of your waist (usually 1” above your navel), and the fullest part of your hips. Be sure the measuring tape is parallel to the ground and not stretched too tight around your figure. Compare your measurements to the ones in the following chart to find your correct pattern size.
If you fall into more than one size, for example, the bust is size 16, waist size 14 and hips are size 20, you can go with the smaller size according to your bust measurement and add more fabric to the waist and hips. Simply begin at the underarm of the size 16, then angle the cut to the size 20 hip and then to the hemline. Sleepwear is not as fitted as ready to wear, most garments will be a loose, comfortable fit. I have videos on how to alter patterns and take measurements that are available on the Chambray Blues Sewing YouTube Channel if you need more help.
